How to play

  • Each puzzle is four numbers in an arithmetic sequence: the gap between neighbours is always the same (e.g. 2, 5, 8, 11 → next is 14).
  • The line ends with “?”. Enter the next number in the field, then press Submit.
  • Correct answers increase your Score. After a miss, the true value is shown so you can verify the step you missed.
  • Press Next pattern for a new sequence. Submit the current answer first if you still want it counted.

Game description

A short list of numbers invites you to infer what rule produced them. Maybe the gap grows steadily; maybe signs alternate; maybe two operations layer. Enter the next term you predict; instant feedback tells you whether your story matches reality before you move on to another list.

The pace favors honesty over bluffing: misreads teach you something if you change models instead of brute forcing. A fresh pattern reset prevents one stubborn sequence from becoming a tar pit. Using the tool in a browser means teachers, tutors, and curious adults can open a tab mid-conversation without installing math software. Over time learners notice familiar families—arithmetic progressions, reciprocals disguised as slowdowns, repeating pairs—and build a checklist before committing digits. Confidence comes from proof, not from guessing faster.
